Cocaine case accused admits crime in secret statementKochi: A secret statement by the seventh accused in the cocaine case, Prithviraj, from Chennai, said that Reshma Rangaswamy the prime accused in the case had bought the banned drug for sale. In the secret statement, a copy of which is now available with Manorama News, Prithviraj said that Reshma had informed him about the arrests through SMS.

Prithviraj said in his statement that he had met Reshama at a party in Park hotel in Chennai April last year and had accompanied her to Goa twice. He had met Frank for the first time in May last year at Goa. Two grams of cocaine was bought from Frank and used it during his second visit to Goa in December, the statement said.

He was introduced to Frank by his friend and the eighth accused in the case, Jasbir, who has close connections with Frank, Prithviraj made it clear in the statement.

Manorama News has also obtained a secret statement of an eye-witness in the case. According to his statement the cocaine and money were exchanged while travelling in a car along an over bridge in Ernakulam South. The eye-witness is the car driver who had taken Frank to Blessy’s flat in Ernakulam.

While travelling in the car a foreign national handed Blessy a packet and Blessy gave money in return, read the statement in which the eye-witness also claimed to have identified the foreign national with the CCTV visuals obtained from Ernakulam South railway station.

The police is now expected to pursue the case be making Prithviraj as an accused turned approver.
