NEW DELHI: Disgruntled with police for not being able to recover his mobile that was stolen during the swearing-in ceremony of chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, a 22-year-old Delhi University student took to robbing people in what he claimed was a move to “teach the government a lesson”. He was arrested when he was caught by a woman whose purse he had snatched.
Abdul Nissar is a graduate in accountancy from DU and is pursuing a teacher’s training course. A police officer said Nissar used to target women in Greater Kailash, Lajpat Nagar and Amar Colony areas. He, though, made it a point to return any documents he found in the bags. He has committed 30 snatchings.
